This lively Pinot embraces the senses with a nose full of ripe plum, black cherry and dragon fruit, along with nuances of baking spice and dried flowers. With vibrant acidity, the wine dances across the mid-palate with notes of pomegranate and cardamom, finishing long with supple tannins and lingering floral undertones. Drink now through 2015.
Winemaking: The fruit was harvested at optimal ripeness to achieve both complexity in flavors and phenolic balance. Each cluster was hand sorted to ensure the inclusion of only the highest quality berries. The fruit was cold-soaked for 4 days, warmed up and left on skins for 14 days. This was fermented at cool temperatures in order to bolster the floral aromatics and contribute rounder mouthfeel. Aged 11 months in French oak.
